James and Alizee are thrilled to have a place to call their own after they spent the better part of a year living with James' parents during the coronavirus lockdown. Carole and Michael Middleton purchased their home in 2012 and have lived there for the last 10 years. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may have had a very public wedding in 2011, but Kate's sister Pippa chose a much more private affair, hosting her reception at their parents' gorgeous manor house.
James has regularly been sharing snaps and videos from his stay in Berkshire, with his Instagram offering royal fans a sneak peek into the stunning manor house that Kate Middleton's parents have called home since 2012. Kate's brother James also gave a look at the garden when he filmed a video of himself shaving his beard in the space. As the camera panned to face his now-wife Alizee Thevenet, he inadvertently showed the patio with a grey outdoor dining table and various bushes. It is perhaps the most famous of Kate’s childhood homes thanks to Prince William’s arrival in a helicopter on the neighbour’s adjacent field, during his and Kate’s courtship. It was also the property the Middleton family lived at when the news broke of Kate and Will’s engagement on a cold October morning in 2010. It was where Mike and Carole gave a brief statement at the five-bar gate outside the home.

The one-storey building came with three bedrooms and a concrete walled back garden, rented for £300 per month. According to The Daily Mail, Kate briefly attended the nearby Al-Sahera nursery, though Carole and her daughters did not live at the residence full-time. The house is in the heart of the busy Um Uthainah area of the capital, a built-up area full of high-rises. Kate was 22 when the elegant pied-a-terre was purchased, and it became her primary residence until her wedding in 2011. On the morning of her 25th birthday, the street outside the property was famously the scene of a mass of, no less than, sixteen paparazzi who hounded her as she left for work. James Middleton's new home is located in Bucklebury, not too far from his parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and his sister, Pippa Middleton, who lives on a farm nearby, according to the Daily Mail.
